Our Goal
Our goal at Iris Valley Charter School is to help all students succeed. Staff will do this by creating an environment in which students' personal learning goals, and needs are met. Students will be encouraged to do their personal best in all subjects, and participate in daily learning activities. By doing this students will be ready, and capable of succeeding in high school, and beyond.
Why we named the school
Iris Valley
The name Iris comes from the Greek goddess of the rainbow, Iris who brought messages from the gods to humans.
The Iris flower symbolizes: Wisdom, Hope, Trust, and Valor
This school strives to be a message of:
Hope for families who have been looking for the perfect fit school for their child/children.
Trust that the school staff will meet all students, and their families as they are when they walk in the doors, and help them find the tools they need to be successful life long learners.
Wisdom in that the staff will strive to help all students gain knowledge about themselves, and the world around them.
Valor in that it takes courage to be ones true self, and advocate for themself in a respectful manner. Iris Valley will encourage all students, their families, and the staff to be who they are, while advocating for their needs in a calm, knowledgeable manner.
