November Newsletter 2023 v1.4

Happy, almost, Thanksgiving! Hope this newsletter is finding you well.

We have a lot to be thankful for here at IVCS headquarters

1. The Charter is compleate and is going to be presented at the Salem Keizer School Board Meeting on December 12.

2. We have gained a lot of new members on the Facebook Group.

3. There are a few promising buildings in South Salem.

4. A few months ago we offically adoped the hedghog as our school masscott

School Board Meeting

We got word about a week ago that our charter application will be presented at the December 12 meeting, which starts at 6:00pm. If you would like to make a public comment please use the Salem Keizer School District website to visit the school board page and use the form. If you would like to attend there will be a small group of us there in person, we would love to have you join us. There is also an option to watch online, that link can also be found on the school board page.

Possible Building Spaces

There are a few possible locations in the South Salem area, however most need some upgrades, and are a bit outside of projected budget. When we have a site in mind we will post a walk through event on the Facebook group.

Fundraising

We will be applying for grants soon, and looking for someone who is skilled at writing successful grants. Please email us if you are a grant writer, or know one.
